Anderlecht are pushing for Dennis Praet’s yesa free agent midfielder after his last experience at Leicester City. The Belgian has received an offer of around one million euros for a two-year contract, but would prefer – if he could choose – another restart in Italy, with Lecce and Udinese having asked for information in recent weeks, without however making a move.
Anderlecht have made several attempts to sign the player over the past few weeksbut without having the green light. It remains to be seen whether Praet will try to remain a free agent for a call-up even after August 30. With the market closing, his profile would become very attractive, given that clubs that have not concluded their purchases would throw themselves into the free agent market.
Praet has already played twice in Italy, the first time wearing the Sampdoria shirt. Arrived in August 2016 in the shadow of the Lanterna, he has collected 106 appearances in three championships also scoring four goals in the various competitions played. After the experience in Genoa came the first passage in the Premier League with the Leicester shirt. Then the return to Turin and with the granata shirt he takes the field between the championship and the Coppa Italia on 24 occasions scoring two goals. At the end of the 2021-2022 season, another return to the Foxes until the end of the contract last June.
