Farewell to Erikkson
At the age of 76, coach Sven Goran Eriksson has passed away. Having been battling pancreatic cancer for some time, the Swedish manager died this morning in his home, surrounded by his family. In recent days, Eriksson had given a final interview. It was a beautiful message to young people: “Live life to the fullest. I’ve had a good life, maybe even too good. And you have to pay for it,” he said, referring to his illness. “We’re all afraid of death, but life is also about death. I hope that in the end people will say, he was a good man. But I know that not everyone will say that. I hope that you’ll remember me as a positive guy, who always tried to do everything possible.”
