Last year they took six points from us, they have quality players. There is maximum respect on our part but the awareness of going to play a great match. The approach to the match will be fundamental, a perfect approach on duels and second balls will be needed”.

The challenge with Nesta?
“We already met last year in the Coppa Italia with Reggiana and it’s nice to meet Nesta again. He’s showing great things, he’s a good guy. I remember both the World Cup experience but especially the one at Milan when I arrived young and he, along with the others, gave me a hand. They have many players who have been playing together for three years, it will be a very open and balanced match”.

Messias is going through a great moment. How important is a player like him, even on a tactical level?
“He can play in multiple roles. He can also be used as a winger, as a fifth. He is a player who can make a difference through his physical qualities. He is fine, he is enthusiastic and we are asking him to make a difference in the match tomorrow too.”
