2030 World Cup, Morocco wants the final: 115,000-seat stadium in Casablanca

In the application dossier of Spain and Morocco at the 2030 World Cup presented a few days ago to FIFA a few days ago three stadiums were indicated to host the final of the tournament: the Bernabéu – favourite -, the new Camp Nou and the Hassan II stadium in Casablanca.

The latter, however, is still in the planning stage but represents the great gamble of the Moroccan federation to convince FIFA and ensure that the decisive match is played in Africa and not in the Iberian capital. In the last few hours the impressive project was announced which will have a final capacity of 115,000 spectators, more than the Bernabéu and the Camp Nou (even after its renovation). The Hassan II stadium, as it will be called, will be located on the outskirts of the city and will consist of several surrounding facilities that will flank the main one. It will be the largest football pitch in the world.

The coverage, reports Aswill be made of aluminum and each sector will accommodate 30,000 spectators, who will be arranged along the five rings. The design of the facility was carried out by the Populous studio, which is also responsible for designing the new Old Trafford. The French architects Oualalou + Choi collaborated.
