Manchester United lock down their captain. Bruno Fernandes has renewed his contract until June 30, 2027; the Portuguese attacking midfielder has scored 79 goals and provided 67 assists in his 234 appearances for the team and now he wants to increase this tally by winning more trophies.

I have already experienced so many special moments here; hearing my name sung from the Stretford End, scoring a hat-trick against Leeds, leading the team at Old Trafford on European nights and lifting trophies at Wembley. But I wouldn’t have signed this contract if I didn’t believe my best moments in a United shirt are yet to come.
