“Conte really wants him. He’s a special player but I’m not very enthusiastic about him. Personally, I’m convinced that he’s not the right solution.”
What market operations excite you this session?
“Few, but definitely Buongiorno to Napoli: he will do well and give great satisfaction. There is more talk than action. Milan is doing quite well and is moving with a certain intelligence. The most important operations will probably be done at the end. Inter moved early and Marotta deserves ten out of ten: he has very important public relations and always manages to move in the right way. He was Inter’s most important purchase”.
Who do you expect to get some shots from?
“From Juve, which I’m watching with some attention.”
And the B director?
“Cremonese, Sassuolo, Sampdoria and Palermo will compete for Serie A. The Grigiorossi have a president who doesn’t mind the expense, they start as favourites”.
The most interesting deals?
“Blin is a good purchase for Palermo, like Coda and Tutino for Sampdoria and Vandeputte for Cremonese. The first matches of the Coppa Italia count for what they deserve, it’s still early to make judgments. Maybe there will still be some signings in the last week of the market”.
