Lopetegui wants another purchase after Fullkrug: West Ham are targeting Trippier

Julen Lopetegui is still not satisfied with the transfer market West Ham and wants more. As reported by Asafter the purchase of German centre forward Niklas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund, the Hammers are aiming to strengthen their defence with Kieran Trippierright back of the Newcastle. Although the English club also evaluated the profiles of Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters, the chosen one is now the former Tottenham player, who has a contract with the Magpies until 2025 and has also been linked to some Saudi Pro League clubs.

In 2023-2024, Trippier played 39 games, including 28 in the Premier League, 2 in the Carabao Cup, 3 in the FA Cup and 6 in the Champions League, scoring one goal. In his career, in which he won LaLiga with Atletico Madrid, he wore the Burnley jersey 185 times, 114 for Tottenham, 92 for Newcastle, 84 for Atletico Madrid, 44 for Barnsley, 11 for the Manchester City reserves and 4 for the England Under-18s. To these, we must add 54 games for England, 2 for the Under-21 national team, 3 for the Under-20s, 10 for the Under-19s and one for the Under-18s.
