Brazil scores poker with Spain and flies to the final: challenge the USA for Olympic gold

Brazil will face the United States in the final of the women’s Olympic soccer tournament. The Verdeoro team beat Spain 4-2: after 6 minutes, Paredes’ own goal gave Brazil the lead, which then doubled in first-half injury time with Gabi Portilho. In the second half, Adriana scored the third goal, with Paralluelo scoring the goal of hope a few minutes before the final whistle. A vain hope, given that a few moments later, thanks to a mistake in the setup by the Iberian defense, Brazil’s fourth goal arrived, scored by Kerolin. In injury time, Paralluelo scored his personal brace, which made the defeat less bitter.

Brazil and the United States will play for the gold medal, Spain and Germany will play for the bronze medal.
