Milan, the negotiations for Fofana are not unblocked: the alternative is Kone of Borussia Mönchengladbach

The negotiations between Milan and Monaco for the transfer of the player continue to be unblocked. Youssouf Fofana as the Monegasque club does not intend to lower its request from 35 million euros for now, a figure considered excessive by the Devils given that the midfielder’s contract expires in less than a year (30 June 2025). The Frenchman remains the first choice of the directors of via Aldo Rossi, who however are now starting to evaluate alternative options: the most likely plan B remains Emmanuel Kouadio Koné, a 2001-born midfielder from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Pellegati’s words
The Milanese journalist spoke about this very transfer market negotiation, which is proving to be much more complicated than expected. Charles Pellegatti in one of his interventions on his YouToube channel. These were his statements, reported by Milannews.it: “I still find the Fofana negotiations very complicated. I can’t understand at this moment what Monaco’s attitude will be. Milan started so low and then got to 20, they might as well have started at 17-18…

Now we have to see if Milan will conclude its increases to 20 million. But there are already 5 million of difference if Monaco were to lower by 10, even 15 if Monaco is on the sidelines. It is a very complicated negotiation, made up of small details, annoyances, irritations, spite and spite. It is a negotiation that goes beyond the economic side alone. That is why I find it a very very complicated negotiation”.
