Lecco, Baldini: “A striker is missing? The striker market will be unlocked in the last few days”

After the friendly against Sondrio, drawn 0-0, at home Lecco was mister Francesco Baldini to take stock of the situation. Starting immediately from the ‘sore point’ of the moment, the few goals scored by his team: “The point is that if I were to say today that the striker is missing, I would be disrespectful to those who have worked up front so far: we just need to work more on the offensive phase. We are in the third week of work, so far I have concentrated a lot on the non-possession phase, on trying not to concede goals, now another full week will arrive and we will get into gear, we will start with the typical week and you will start to see our legs turn differently: we will concentrate on the offensive phase. Then if someone were to come and give us a hand we will be happy, but the transfer market will be unlocked in the last few daysso for now I’m aiming at the ones I have, to improve them. Because there’s still a lot of work to do, but the guys are galloping, they’ve done well in the daily doubles: we’re in line with the pre-established programs”.

He continued: “We worked on the 4-3-1-2, but now I want to start working on the 4-3-3, and also on the brilliance, to prepare for the match on Saturday. We had a bit of difficulty in finding teams to play friendlies.”

On Saturday, it’s time for the Coppa Italia Serie C, which will see the Blucelesti take on Milan Futuro: “I can’t expect to see a 100% team, but I’m happy with the group I have, because the boys always try to do what I ask of them.”
