Cesena and Avellino advance in the Italian Cup. Friendlies, 2-2 comeback for Brescia

Two more preliminary round matches were played today Italian Cupwith Cesena and Avellino advancing to the next round. The Romagnoli defeated Padova with a clear 3-1. The match was already over in the first half with goals from Kargbo and Shpendi, then in the second half Bortolussi’s goal tried to put the Biancoscudati back in the game. But four minutes from the end Francesconi scored the hat-trick that sends Cesena to the 32nd final, where they will challenge Verona.

In the 20:45 challenge, however, Avellino beat Juve Stabia 3-1. Tribuzzi gave the Irpini the lead after just 2′, then the equalizer signed by Piscopo. At the end of the first half Lupi still ahead with Frascatore, then in the second half the hat trick signed again by Tribuzzi who thus signs his personal double. In the next round the Irpini will challenge Udinese.

As for friendlies, Cremonese narrowly defeated Lumezzane, while Brescia caught up with Renate at 2-2.
