Lazio removes Castellanos from the market (for now): Girona’s first offer rejected

Lazio removes from the market Valentin Castellanosat least for now. Having sold Artem Dovbyk to Roma, Girona has begun looking for a new centre-forward to replace the Ukrainian. Among the various names being considered by the Catalan club, one is being brought to Italy – and it would be a return – more precisely to Rome, but on the Biancoceleste side: the Argentine striker who played the 2022/23 season in Biancorosso.

According to what was told by Allsportsfor this reason the Spanish club would have put forward an offer of 18 million euros to Lazio, but received a clear refusal. The newspaper adds that for the Roman team El Taty he is in fact considered unsellable. And in this sense the latest statements of the sporting director Angelo Fabiani should also be recorded.

The Biancoceleste sporting director recently expressed his opinion on Girona’s interest in Castellanos: “With Dovbyk he goes to Roma, the Catalans come knocking again with 20 million for Taty? We won’t sell him even for 25, Lotito has already said he’s not for sale and I agree because we’re aiming for him. They have to show up with 50 million”. Castellanos made 46 appearances with 6 goals in the last season in Biancoceleste, his first in the capital. He previously played for Girona, New York City, Montevideo City Torque and Universidad de Chile.
