Di Gennaro: “I have some doubts about Dovbyk. Atalanta would think big with Nico”

TMW Radio

On the microphones of ‘Transfer Market and Retreats’ on TMW Radio, Anthony DiGennaro he spoke about the hot topics related to the new players arriving in Serie A and the negotiations still in progress:

Dovbyk, Morata and Taremi: who can make the biggest impact?
“We know Morata, Taremi has already come in great. I have some doubts about Dovbyk because he didn’t perform at the European Championship. After Lukaku, Roma needs someone like him. Maybe Dovbyk will struggle more initially”.

So far, which three teams have done the best?
“Inter with Zielinski and Taremi has further strengthened and is completing a squad that will have a very tough road ahead. I like Milan, Juve and Napoli, with how Conte has entered the minds of the players. Roma is moving quite well, Lazio is rejuvenating itself with a coach who was greeted with skepticism but is a serious and good coach. I also see Fiorentina who is taking young and interesting players for Pallandino. Juve, if they make some more moves, could be the antagonist. Atalanta, if Nico Gonzalez also arrives, it means they want to aim big”.

Can Atalanta really be the loose cannon?
“It has grown in recent years with a coach who is in his ninth year in this place. He won the El in a dominant manner, against Leverkusen who played more than 50 games without losing and why shouldn’t he aim for the Scudetto? Zaniolo could have gone to a more famous team instead he went there and that will mean something. He has important certainties like Inter. Then the attacking department is rejuvenated, but with a lot of talent. Gasperini is trying to stimulate these qualities, then from a physical point of view we know what happens when he gets into gear”.
