The former Fiorentina footballer Alexander Pierini spoke to the microphones of Radio Florenceviola of Raffaele Palladino’s team starting from the possible market hypothesis linked to the Venezia player Tanner Tessmann: “He has all the qualities to play in Palladino’s Fiorentina – he began – he is a good midfielder and he also knows how to score. He has already gained experience in Italy, perhaps he is not so fast and maybe that is the only flaw”.
Still on the subject of midfield, Pierini commented on which player he would see well alongside him: “We definitely need a player with legs, like Gianluca Busio at Venezia. One with different characteristics, who also has the pace to spare”. Among the hypotheses being considered by the Viola management is also the Juventus player Weston McKennie: “He could form a well-matched pair with Tessmann”.
Finally he made a comment on Sofyan Amrabat. The Moroccan midfielder returned after the season on loan to Manchester United where he played 30 games in various competitions without ever scoring: “If I made an attempt for Amrabat? For the player he is, I would say yes – concluded the former Viola, Udinese, Parma and Reggina player -. But if he doesn’t want to stay I don’t know how counterproductive it would be… There’s no point in forcing the hand”.
