Giroud: “Like at Milan, it was destiny that I signed with Los Angeles. Here’s what Ibra told me”

Olivier Giroud yesterday he landed in Los Angeles, California, where he will begin his new adventure as a striker for Los Angeles FC after three successful seasons at Milan. And in his presentation press conference, the French striker drew a parallel with his arrival at the Rossoneri:

“It’s funny because in 2020 I was close to signing with Inter, fate wanted me to sign with Milan a year later. Before that I met with someone from LA Galaxy and told them it wasn’t right to leave Europe. It’s fate that I had to sign for Los Angeles FC. It’s the right time to discover a new league. It’s an amazing life experience for my family. When I didn’t want to renew with Milan, I also thought about the opportunity to leave the national team.”

Then Giroud revealed what Ibra told him: “I spoke to Zlatan who was in the wrong part of the city (laughs, ed.). He told me that I will enjoy myself because teams play to score goals, not defend the result. He told me to be careful if he plays in Houston in August because it will be hot”.
