Who is Iker Bravo: MVP of the U19 European Championships ready to drive Udinese fans crazy

Important day for theUdinese which, barring any unexpected developments, will announce a major incoming move. This is Iker Gooda 2005-born striker who particularly stood out at the last Under-19 European Championships. A promising signing, but also an element that could already be useful to the new Friulian coach Runiajc.

Training in the Spanish big teams and the explosion in the national team
Iker Bravo started with Barcelona, but at the age of 16 he left the Blaugrana youth team to continue his youth career in Germany. Specifically, he did so at Bayer Leverkusen, where he showed off his skills in the various youth teams, even making 2 appearances for the first team (1 in the Bundesliga and 1 in the German Cup, both in the 2021/22 season).

His performances in the Rossoneri youth system set off the market sirens. Any other contender must surrender to the presence of Real Madrid, who in the summer of 2022 took him on loan. Iker Bravo did not suffer the importance of the shirt in the slightest, making himself noticed especially in the Youth League with the Blancos jersey. Despite his excellent performances, Real did not redeem him: the Spaniard should return to Leverkusen, if it were not for the arrival of Udinese who decided to focus on him.

The Friulians had the merit of discovering his qualities before the Under 19 European Championships played in the summer, which definitively put Iker Bravo on the map of great football. The former Barcelona player started off great, deciding the match against Denmark and always provided convincing performances, culminating with the one enriched by a goal in the victorious final against France. A series of exploits that earned him the award for best player of the event: the boy promises well, the Udinese fans are already rubbing their eyes.

Iker Bravo: role and characteristics
Iker Bravo is a first striker with good physicality and a good sense of goal but with a lot of room for improvement. On the offensive front he knows how to play with extreme versatility, also occupying the role of second striker and left winger.

Despite his young age, Udinese closed the deal for around 10 million euros, with Leverkusen set to collect 50% of the future resale. Given the increase in value already with the European Youth Championship, the feeling is that the Friulians’ deal was a real bargain.
