Stadium work delayed? The ultras protest: “Juve Stabia must play at the Menti”

The reversal of the field for the Coppa Italia match against Avellino, scheduled for August 4, did not go down well with Juve Stabia fans, also in view of the start of the Serie B championship – with the first home match to be played on August 27 against Mantova -, who decided to mobilize to ask the Municipality for reassurances on the work to adapt the Romeo Menti Stadium. The Curva Sud has in fact published a statement on its social channels taking stock of the situation and asking that the work be finished on time, announcing a procession that will march to the Town Hall to make their voices heard. This is the statement from the Stabia ultras:

“Romeo Menti is our home, our fortress. There the right chemistry is created between the team and its people, who live for its colors. The reconquest of Serie B came after a long journey that cost a lot of sweat and sacrifice. We fans want to defend what we have conquered at all costs.

Out of respect for all those who love Juve Stabia and renew their deep love for the team every year, by subscribing to the season ticket, for all citizens of Stabia, for the city of Castellammare di Stabia, Juve Stabia must play at Romeo Menti!

We will not follow the team to any other stadium outside of Romeo Menti for home games. We have already suffered several wrongs in the past, now that’s enough. If the first home game on August 27th was still in doubt, the south curve announces that it will organize a procession that will go directly to the mayor to have a discussion and reiterate, once again, that Juve Stabia must play at the Romeo Menti. Forward Stabiesi, forward Castellammare. Let’s defend with our teeth what we have conquered”.
