Philip Jorgensen has been officially announced as a new Chelsea player, completing his move from Villarreal. The 22-year-old has signed a seven-year contract. The goalkeeper will now compete with Robert Sanchez for the starting spot. Last season he made 37 appearances in all competitions and helped Villarreal to an eighth-place finish in La Liga.
Jorgensen stated: “This transfer is a dream come true. I am very excited to have signed for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I can’t wait to meet everyone and start playing with my new teammates.”
