Fiorentina, Biraghi: “The club knows what to do on the market. My role? I will accept everything”

The captain of Fiorentina, Christian Biraghispoke to Sky Sports directly from the Viola retreat in England. These are his words, starting from how the Viola team is changing with Palladino: “Like many other teams, we too have undergone big changes, starting with the coach. Palladino is a very good person, and this is the basis for working well. Then as a coach I have to say that he is young but very prepared, that he lives for football and chews it. He does everything with great passion, which he is transmitting to us. After Italiano we have started a new path, many things change on a tactical level and we are working on it, trying to understand his ideas as soon as possible”.

Has it also been tested in the back three?
“Going from a four-man defense to a three-man defense is like black and white, it’s all different. The fundamental principles are still the same. Some have been moved around, it’s also my case, and we’ve made huge improvements compared to the first week. I don’t know what my role will be, I don’t ask many questions. I’m available for this glorious Fiorentina shirt, I have to set an example and that’s how I am. I give my all wherever they put me.”

Have you been invited to a christening in England?
“Yes, near where we trained there was one going on, in the little English-style houses, and they asked us for a photo. After three weeks of retreat we threw ourselves into a festive atmosphere, just for 10 minutes”.

Can you tell us about Fiorentina’s next transfer?
“I really don’t know. The club and the director know what they have to do, they have always made an important team. We are calm, we have to work and be ready for the matches”.
