Suspended, not relieved: the situation of Macia. Suspended by Spezia

Spezia Calcio announces that it has suspended from all activities, with immediate effect, the head of the Technical Area Mr. Eduardo Macia.
From now on and until new, different decisions are taken, the management of the technical-sporting area will be followed directly by the Ownership, in the person of the President Philip Raymond Platek, Jr, the CEO Andrea Gazzoli and the Sporting Director Stefano Melissano”: this is what the Ligurian club said yesterday, announcing the suspension of the head of the Technical Area Eduardo Macia.

A statement that has caused much discussion, especially for the word “suspension”, which has left open various hypotheses on the matter, but which instead can be traced back simply to bureaucratic steps linked to the agreement that Macia has with the company. The same manager, with the black and white association, he does not have a sports contract (like that of footballers and technical staff), but rather an employee contractwhich therefore changes the bureaucratic steps to be taken before arriving at a possible dismissal.

Macia can obviously no longer act on behalf of the club, he has been relieved of the duties he has carried out so far, but only after this communication will it be possible to proceed with the dismissal, dismissal for just cause or resignation by the former Fiorentina manager; a formality that will probably be defined shortly.
