Dovbyk explains why he said no to Atletico: “The deal didn’t fall through because of agent fees”

The Sports Gazette brings back a quote of Artem DovbykGirona striker who seems ever closer to a transfer to Roma. “The deal didn’t fall through because of my agent’s commissions, but for other reasons that I’ll tell you soon”, the phrases attributed to the Ukrainian striker in reference to the failed move to Atletico Madrid who, for their part, had already reached an agreement with Girona for around 40 million. Roma’s offer is currently lower, around 32 million plus bonuses and a percentage of the future resale.

Dovbyk will probably be the third signing of the Ghisolfi era above 20 million euros, a novelty in recent years for the Friedkins, accustomed to a zero-cost (or almost) transfer market. The first was Le Fee, then Soulé – who should complete his medical tomorrow – and finally, precisely, the Ukrainian striker who will be the starter next season.

It remains to be seen what Tammy Abraham will do, who has been put on the market but has a very high contract, around 6 million euros – 4.5 fixed plus 1.5 easy – and who will not be able to take advantage of the Growth Decree in the event of a transfer to another Italian club. We are therefore waiting for a proposal from the Premier League.
