Padovan: “Calafiori? I hope he grows for the national team. Premier League superior”

From the studies of Sky Sportsthe journalist Giancarlo Padovan he had his say on the landing of Calafiori to Arsenal, who is only the latest of the Serie A players who chose the Premier League in the summer: “Iling jr, Okoli and Barrenechea also went to the Premier League and were paid a lot, as was Zirkzee. I expect them to play, to assert themselves and to show that Italian football at least exports some very competitive and interesting players”.

Is it right to go to England?
“I don’t know if it’s right, the god of money conditions everything and everyone. For Calafiori it’s an important opportunity, seized by him and Bologna: it will be important to confirm ourselves at high levels. Calafiori is good not only for Bologna and could have been for Juve, but we hope he will also be good for the national team. We hope he acquires an international mentality and that he can also give his contribution for the national team”.

Most attractive Premier?
“It’s like this: more attractive, let’s add the salary which is not secondary. You have the feeling of participating in a higher category championship. It’s the point of reference for everyone and it doesn’t surprise me that so many players go there. Even Huijsen for example went to Bournemouth, which is not a great team but the boy wants to test himself at a high level”.
