Endrick: “Did I talk about the role with Ancelotti? No, too much emotion”

The 18-year-old Brazilian Endrick lands in the world of real Madrid and shows all his happiness with the tears of emotion he shed once he took the microphone at the Bernabeu to greet his new fans. The former Palm trees then in the press conference, he dodged every question regarding his ownership or possible position on the pitch, given the high competition.

How will he convince Ancelotti to have a place in his 11?
“I can’t focus on those things. I can only say that I’m very happy in Madrid. I will learn a lot from the great players and I just want to help them and follow their advice. Now I focus on that, on learning and helping.”

What struck you the most? Did he speak to Ancelotti about his position?
“I honestly don’t know what I did yesterday or before yesterday. I’m amazed, because today was a crazy day, something wonderful in my life. I went to the hospital and I was very happy. When I sign, here… I don’t think about anything else. I would like to live today, which is wonderful.”

Do you feel a lot of responsibility? What is your favorite Spanish food?
“At the beginning I felt a lot of pressure, but I stopped paying attention to it because what I want is for my family to be happy. I have to be good with them and not think about the pressure. If I’m in the stadium and in the frame, their happiness will be seen on their faces. Or if my team wins. I just want everyone around me to be happy. I’m happy to have a family like that. And the food… I really like paella, but I’m still getting used to Spanish food.”
