Nadir Zortea,new purchase of the Cagliaripresents himself in the press room of the “Brunod” in Chatillon. The Trentino winger met the media after Saturday’s morning training session, recounting the journey that brought him to Sardinia and his feelings after the first few weeks of work. “I arrived at Atalanta at a very young age, I went through an important growth path there that led me to have several experiences on loan in recent seasons. My chapter in the Nerazzurri was over, so when I heard about Cagliari’s interest and the possibility of coming permanently, I was immediately impressed, I really wanted to embrace a new project like this. I’m really happy, I look forward basing everything on my attitude to work and trying to get the best from those around me. Role models? There are many, now we play a lot with a three-man defense and this way of playing really values the full-backs, if I have to name one I think of Theo Hernandez who plays the role with enormous completeness in both phases”.

“My name, Nadir, is of Arab origin: my mother chose it, my family is Italian but I have this unusual name that I like so much. Zortea is also the name of the town where I live, in Trentino, near where I was born. There are also many of my relatives there who have the same surname as me”.
