Iocolano: “Grateful to Juve, one day I hope to return. I’m fine, waiting for the right call”

“I’m physically well and not being able to be on the pitch is not pleasant. Except when Bari failed, it would be the first time without a team from the start”. Simone Iocolano is raring to go and is ready to return to the pitch. The midfielder born in 1989 until last year at Juve Next Gen is waiting for the right call and in the meantime he tells TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

How are you experiencing this period?
“I train every day. Juve is giving me the opportunity to train with a trainer and I will always thank them for this. When I find a team I will be ready immediately and it is thanks to them.”

Have you had any contacts?
“There wasn’t a real negotiation, but there were some hints. Strange, I understand everything: my age, the injury I had, but now I’m physically very well.”

Which Juventus is he leaving?
“In the meantime, I leave a piece of my heart. I am from Turin, I returned home after a few years. I leave an important and valid project to which I gave my all. I have improved in some aspects. It is a shame to have to leave. I hope that one day, at the end of my career, I can return to be part of this club and this project”

Look at the category and would you also consider abroad?
“I am evaluating who wants to believe in me. I can still give a lot despite my thirty-four years. Unfortunately, football has changed. Today we think about the identity card first of all. It’s a shame. I have worked with young people for two and a half years and they are something important but the older figures make the difference on the mentality”.
