Bonaventura to Al Shabab: the last details are being ironed out before the white smoke

Giacomo Bonaventura has decided: he will continue his career in the Saudi Pro League. As we reported two days ago, the midfielder born in ’89 after careful consideration has resolved his reservations and decided to fly to Riyadh to close the deal with Al Shabab.

And the agreement is now just a step away. The parties are finalizing the final contractual details before signing the contract: for Bonaventura, fresh from four seasons at Fiorentina, it will be his first adventure abroad.

In the meantime, the lily-flagged club announced this morning the purchase of Andrea Colpani, a midfielder who will replace Bonaventura in Palladino’s squad: “ACF Fiorentina announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis with an option to buy, the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Andrea Colpani from AC Monza. Colpani, born in Brescia on 11 May 1999, grew up in the Atalanta youth sector and, in the last season with the Monza jersey, scored 8 goals in 39 appearances. The new Viola footballer has also worn the shirts of the Azzurri youth national teams and, in 2023, was also called up by the senior national team”. Colpani arrives in Florence on loan with an option to buy: Monza immediately receives four million euros, while a further 12 will be needed for the permanent purchase.
