Casadei’s former coach: “I think he would be ready for Fiorentina. Palladino is top for him”

The name of Caesar Casadei is strongly linked to Fiorentina. As we told you today, the midfielder could start again for Italy after being “abandoned” by Maresca at Chelsea, who did not call him up for the tour in the United States and in an interview given to Radio FirenzeViola, Daniel Abundanceformer coach of the 2003 class in the Cesena youth sector, spoke about this possibility. These are his words: “First of all I want to underline that Cesare has always been a good person since he was a child. I didn’t discover him because they brought him to my team, but I was lucky to have had him. Now he is having a good career. He knew how to do different things on the pitch, then everyone made him play in the same role but he was versatile, he knew football and he has always been very intelligent”.

What role do you see for him?
“Palladino knows better, having demonstrated his value in two years at Monza by making the team play well. Cesare is a boy who adapts and Palladino can put him in the conditions to give his best.”

Why do you think you want to return to Italy?
“Abroad, kids grow up differently. In Italian youth sectors, too often they try to win matches, not to get the kids to play. Cesare spent a period in Italy and another period in England, so he had the opportunity to see both sides of the coin. I’m sure he can do well but he has a slightly introverted character, which is very strange being from Romagna (laughs, ed.). We had other very extroverted kids who, however, relied a lot on him”.

Do you see him ready for Fiorentina?
“I think so, but I’ve never followed big-name football that much. The coach can bring out Cesare’s qualities even more: Palladino has always made his players perform well at Monza, so I think he can do the same with Casadei. The experiences abroad will help Cesare”.
