Trombetta: “To Giana to gain experience. Nice to play in Kings League with Totti”

From Kings Leaugue to Serie C. Michael Trumpetformer Stallions forward now in the ranks of Giana Erminio he released some statements to The Republic on his new adventure:

“From Alessandro Miramari, my coach at Corticella, with whom I have a relationship of mutual respect, I have had positive references about Andrea Chiappella, who has been doing so well here in Gorgonzola at the helm of the first team for two years now. Andrea favours attacking play and his schemes are well suited to my characteristics. If last season the forwards playing for Giana all did so well there must be a reason. I decided to leave Bologna, my comfort zone, moving 250 km away from my family, my girlfriend and friends, in order to increase my wealth of experience, knowledge and skills. Here I feel appreciated and wanted. I only signed a one-year contract without any speculation and as a form of self-respect. It is right to evaluate one’s status year by year and then plan the following season”.

On the experience in the Kings League: “When I was called up for the Kings League, after the defections of Balotelli, Mertens and Cerci, my thoughts immediately went to captain Totti. I was the number 9, he was the number 10, like in the attack of my dreams. On the pitch, then, the understanding was natural: he relied on me because he saw that I had the legs and personality. Having taken on a leading role of the team along with him, Nainggolan and Viviano made me feel a little embarrassed, but it was a positive feeling. Of the three big names in the team, I appreciated the winning mentality, the competitive spirit. They never took to the pitch just for fun, but every pass, backward run or sacrifice was aimed at the victory of the group”.
