Juventus, strong insertion for Cabal from Hellas Verona. He can steal him from Inter

TMW

Last night the news emerged that Inter were very close to Hellas Verona’s Juan Cabal, a defender valued at 10 million by Setti’s club and for whom Juventus were interested. Oaktree had to give the green light to finalise the deal, but in the last few hours Juventus have accelerated their efforts to try to snatch the Colombian. The figure is always the same and the feeling is that whoever gets to the queen first will be able to close the deal, given that – in fact – Cabal doesn’t have any big preferences on the landing.

To recap: Inter seemed to be one step away from closing the deal, but Juventus made a strong move in the final hours. The salary that the player is asking for is around 1.2 million per year, therefore relatively low for the standards of a big club. In the next few hours there should be news, even by return mail, to understand his future.

Cabal had arrived at Hellas Verona for around 3.5 million euros and in the last season he was promoted to a permanent starter for the Veronese team, especially in the second half of the season. His performances earned him a call-up to the Copa America where Colombia finished second, behind only Leo Messi’s Argentina. Cabal, however, did not make his debut in the competition.
