Press conference day at home Pro Patria, with the team under the orders of mister Riccardo Colombo today had the first training session in view of the 2024-25 season, which will start on the weekend of August 24-25. The trainer himself, on the sidelines of the session, spoke as follows: “Last season is a starting point, from there we will have to grow and we will have to try to always do better, the goal is always to improve from last season, where we also had two and a half months done very well, but where we spent a lot of energy. We should be good at dosing them, the energy, of the whole season, starting well, however, there will be a very difficult September, the calendar is tough” (CLICK HERE for the complete calendar of Group A).
More specifically, “We have to face the first two games (against Renate and Giana Erminio, ed.) well and start strong, this gives us morale. We will then have to improve the numbers at home and the goals we conceded last year, we conceded a lot and especially from set pieces: we will work hard on it in the retreat, this is the main focus”.
He then concludes: “Little by little we will see how the squad will be composed later on, what characteristics we will have, even if I don’t deny that I want to start as we finished, with two attacking midfielders and a striker: but we will evaluate based on what comes from the market. The players are always the ones who go on the pitch, trying to build them the best suit is the fundamental thing”.
