The season that is about to begin will be the 125th anniversary of the Milan. The Rossoneri club, through a note, has informed fans of the initiatives to celebrate the event:
“AC Milan inaugurates the season of the 125th Anniversary of the birth of the Club by presenting the initiatives, special events, coordinated image and dedicated products, through which – over the next few months, in Milan and throughout the world – it will celebrate together with the entire Rossoneri family this exciting stage in its legendary history of successes.
A story that begins on the night of December 16, 1899 at the Hotel du Nord et des Anglais in Piazza della Repubblica, Milan, from the visionary dream of the Englishman Herbert Kilpin and a small group of passionate friends. A dream that has come true, crossing eras of change, with a pioneering spirit and faithful to its essence: a successful football club, with over 49 titles at national and international level – including 7 Champions Leagues, 19 Scudetti, 5 UEFA Super Cups and a FIFA Club World Cup -; a social and cultural institution aware of its responsibility towards its communities of reference, reached also thanks to the action of Fondazione Milan; an innovative and global brand, which catalyzes the passion of millions of people around the world, at the intersection of different worlds such as entertainment, media, fashion, music and lifestyle culture.
At the heart of the celebrations will be the timeless soul of the Rossoneri, which over time has been able to give life to a community that today has over 500 million fans around the world, united by the same values and protagonists of indelible pages in the history of football, thanks to the generations of champions who have worn the Rossoneri shirt.

A SPECIAL SHIRT CHOSEN BY THE FANS
For an official match in the 2024/25 season, the two Rossoneri First Teams will wear a special celebratory jersey, made with PUMA and designed together with tens of thousands of Rossoneri fans. In recent months, the Club launched the “Design our jersey, design our legacy” campaign, asking its fans to choose some of the key elements of this special uniform – from the width of the stripes to the historic badge, passing through the details on the inside of the collar – and offering participants the chance to win exclusive prizes.
MATCHES AND CELEBRATORY EVENTS: FROM 125 WITH BARCELONA TO THE SILVIO BERLUSCONI TROPHY AND THE BIRTHDAY WEEKEND MATCH
On the pitch, the 125th Anniversary celebrations will culminate in December, when the Club’s foundation falls, and in particular on the occasion of the Milan-Genoa matchday, the 16th day of the men’s Serie A, when San Siro will host a series of dedicated activations, and in a round of the women’s Serie A. It will be for these two league matches that the Rossoneri First Teams will wear the special commemorative jerseys created together with PUMA. But the opportunity to start the celebrations will present itself already in the summer, when the men’s First Team will meet two other historic teams of international football, who are celebrating the same milestone of 125 years this year: SK Rapid, who will open the doors of the Allianz Stadion in Hütteldorf, Vienna, on July 20, and FC Barcelona, opponent at the M&T Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, next August 7 in the Soccer Champions Tour 2024 that Mister Fonseca’s team will play in the United States.
August 13th will be an emotionally intense date for all Milan fans: through the “Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi”, which will be played at San Siro for the first time, one of the brightest chapters in the history of Milan will be celebrated, under the guidance of President Silvio Berlusconi.
Even off the pitch, the Club will experience a series of special events in the coming months, including an invitation-only Dinner Gala, where many protagonists from the past, present and future of the Rossoneri’s history will gather to share the emotions of this important anniversary. A new event will arrive with the 18th edition of MITO SettembreMusica, a Festival that unites the cities of Milan and Turin through international musical events, in which Milan will be – together with Turin, which is simultaneously experiencing the 75th anniversary of Superga – the first football club to have a contemporary opera dedicated to it, performed live and with the support of various archive footage.
A NEW FLAGSHIP STORE IN MILAN
The new Flagship Store in via Dante will join the celebrations alongside the places of interest most famously and historically linked to the Club, such as the San Siro stadium or the Mondo Milan Museum located at the Casa Milan headquarters. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place tomorrow, July 17, in the presence of the Senior Management and some of the Rossoneri First Team players and women. The new Flagship Store, which is positioned as a new “destination” for Milan fans and an obligatory stop for tourists visiting Milan: the largest sales point of the Rossoneri Club, presents itself as an immersive space and a dynamic hub for events and initiatives signed AC Milan, with over 500 square meters to also celebrate the 125th year of the Club’s life.
FROM PUMA TO EMIRATES, THROUGH OFF-WHITE, YANKEES AND ASSOULINE: PRESTIGIOUS COLLABORATIONS
During the 2024/25 season, AC Milan will launch a series of prestigious collaborations with partners and other leading entities at a national and international level. Starting with Principal Partners PUMA and Emirates, with whom the commemorative jersey will be created and an important special project featuring the great champions of the Rossoneri’s history. Together with Off-White, a luxury fashion brand and Style and Culture Curator of the Club, and New York Yankees, one of the most iconic sports brands in the world, two distinct special apparel collections dedicated to the anniversary will be presented. An unmissable release linked to the story of the Rossoneri’s 125 years of history will bring together the Milan brand with Assouline, the world’s leading luxury cultural brand. The Japanese collectible designer toys brand Medicom will dedicate an exclusive version of one of its most famous product lines to the Club. In continuity with past seasons, collections dedicated to the anniversary will also be launched alongside New Era, a global leader with an unmistakable style in the headwear sector, and MC2 Saint Barth, an Italian excellence in beachwear. An activation dedicated to the anniversary celebration will also be carried out with Bloomingdale’s, a well-known American chain of luxury department stores, while the collaboration with 24Bottles, Gattullo and Nove25 will give rise to new product lines inspired by the Rossoneri Club.
