Gent have announced the transfer of a young talent, the Belgian Jorthy Mokiowho grew up in the club’s youth system and moved to Ajax in a deal that surprised many insiders. Mokio is a central defender, known for his physical strength and marking skills. He is skilled in the air and in defensive positioning, managing to effectively protect his area. The carreer
He began his career in the youth system of KFC Merelbeke before joining KAA Gent in 2020. In the youth system of Gent, he developed his technical and tactical skills. In the 2023/24 season, Mokio made his debut for the first team of Gent, making 7 appearances in total in various competitions, including the Jupiler Pro League and the UEFA Youth League. At international level, he represented Belgium in the youth categories, making 11 appearances for the U15, U16 and U17 teams.
