Zirkzee flies to Manchester. And Milan accelerates for Morata (with the help of Ibrahimovic)

Alvaro Morata close to Milan… on an assist from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede, in addition to serving his teammates with limited turns as a player, is continuing to make excellent assists – but for the closing of transfer operations – also as a manager. It was his call to the Spanish striker to convince him to come to Milan. A call that, it seems, went well. Also decisive in this sense is the new coach Paulo Fonseca, who considers Morata central to his chessboard.

What is missing
Some details on the economic agreement with the player remain to be defined: Milan has offered him a three-year contract worth four million net per season, plus bonuses, while the thirty-one-year-old from Madrid is asking for a four-year contract, or an agreement until 2028, at a higher figure, around five million. He now earns five and a half until 2026 and since he knows that the one with the Devils will most likely be the last “heavy” contract of his career, Alvaro is aiming to get the most and not move again. The current difference between supply and demand regarding the salary will not ruin the deal if the striker, at the end of the European Championship, confirms his decision to leave Madrid to return to Italy. A choice that does not seem to be up for discussion, also – if not above all – due to the convincing work of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And Zirkzee goes to Manchester
Decisive hours for the transfer of Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United. In these minutes, the English club and Bologna are in contact to define the details of the transfer of the 2001-born footballer who, after the end of the European Championship in Holland, will fly to England to begin his adventure in the Premier League. The Milan trail has been definitively shelved for a few days, the footballer’s agent Kia Joorabchian is now working with the red devils to find a solution in a short time. And in these hours, Manchester United and Bologna are in contact to outline the payment of the 40 million euro termination clause.
