No Italy for Davitashvili: the Georgian stays in France and goes to Saint-Etienne

Official

Zuriko Davitashvili remains in France. The Georgian attacking winger, Kvaratskhelia’s teammate and protagonist in the last European Championship, is a new player for the newly promoted Saint-Etienne: he has signed a contract until June 30, 2028.

The now ex-Bordeaux player had ended up in the sights of several Serie A clubs, above all Como, Venezia and Genoa. Purchased outright last summer by Girondins (who had discovered him in the same Dinamo Batumi where Napoli went to fish for Kvara) for just over a million euros, in the two seasons spent in France the 2001-born player put together 67 appearances and 13 goals in the second division championship.
