New arrival of prospect for Lecce, who through their official have announced that they have signed the Dutch midfielder born in 2005 Olaf Gorter from AFC Ajax: “US Lecce announces that it has definitively acquired the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Olaf Gorter from AFC Ajax. The Dutch central midfielder born in 2005 will be available for the Primavera 1 team”.
Gorter is a defensive midfielder, known for his ability to read the game and break up the opposition’s moves. He is skilled in ball recovery and defensive positioning, managing to effectively protect the defensive line. Despite his young age, he demonstrates a remarkable tactical maturity, which makes him a valuable asset for his team.
He began his career in the youth teams of Ajax II, where he demonstrated his technical and tactical skills, playing mainly as a midfielder. In the 2023/2024 season he accumulated 21 appearances for Ajax II, totaling 740 minutes of play. He also made four appearances in the Youth League to embellish his palmares, although during his time with the lancers he never managed to get close to making his debut for the First Team. Although he did not score any goals, he contributed significantly to the team thanks to his vision of the game and his defensive skills.
