Immobile wants Besiktas, but Lotito won’t release him for free. Lazio will bid farewell to the striker

New steps forward for the possible, and probable, transfer of Ciro Immobile to Besiktas, with the interested party pushing for a farewell, believing his adventure at Lazio to be over. The Biancoceleste captain, after eight seasons and over two hundred official goals, no longer feels at the center of the Biancoceleste project and is ready to say goodbye to the Capital to move to Istanbul. The offer that the Turkish club presented to him in the last few hours is the right one: twelve million euros net for the next two years with the possibility of extending the agreement for a further season. At 34 years old, it is an offer considered unmissable.

At the moment, however, Lazio has not given the green light: Claudio Lotito is asking for compensation, around 4-5 million euros, to sell his centre-forward. While Besiktas on the other hand would like the player for free, convinced that under these conditions they would already be doing a great favour to the Biancoceleste club by freeing them of a salary of 4.5 million euros net for the next two seasons. In all this, Lazio will travel to Auronzo di Cadore on Thursday to begin their retreat and Immobile, before that date, would like to finalise the transfer.

On Monday evening, Lotito expressed himself on this transfer: “You are telling me about the offer, I don’t know you. It’s like the guy who says he’s getting married but doesn’t know the bride. I don’t know, I’ll say this with all honesty: my club hasn’t received any offer. Immobile is a Lazio player, he has a contract with Lazio. The club hasn’t received any offer from another club that wants to acquire him. When they receive it, they will evaluate it. We haven’t received any offer to date.”
