Meret and Napoli, here we are: one step away from the contract renewal until June 30, 2027

Alex Meret one step away from renewing his contract with Napoli. The two parties are currently defining the new agreement that will be valid until June 30, 2027, or two years more than the current agreement. Meret will be the starting goalkeeper for the Neapolitans also for the next season since Antonio Conte, who just took office, immediately confirmed his trust in the current goalkeeper with Caprile who will be his assistant.

During the official presentation, Conte expressed himself on his goalkeeper as follows: “Meret is our goalkeeper, he has my full trust, I’ve already spoken to him. He knows very well what my personal requests are for him, we’re talking about a goalkeeper who has maximum potential. He has my full respect and trust. At the same time, Caprile is arriving and he’s on an important path, after Bari and Empoli. We are lucky to be able to count on two goalkeepers who can be the future of Napoli”.

A vote of confidence that a few days earlier had also been announced by his agent Federico Pastorello: “Since Conte arrived it seems that everyone wants to stay. Mister Conte is a guarantee of success, clearly the players who were uncertain or half and half after a difficult season, with the arrival of such an important coach have found a bit of enthusiasm and spirit. Alex will be happy to stay”.
