“Hellas Verona FC announces that it has acquired – on a permanent basis – the sporting performances of midfielder Abdou Harroui from Frosinone Calcio, who has signed a contract with the yellow and blue club until 30 June 2028. Born on 13 January 1998 in Leiden, Netherlands, Harroui grew up in the youth sectors of three different Dutch teams: UVS Leiden, Alphense Boys Legend and Sparta Rotterdam. Wearing the Sparta Rotterdam jersey – where Harroui played from the 2015/16 season to the 2020/21 season – the midfielder made his professional debut on 24 February 2018, making his debut in the Eredivisie match against AZ Alkmaar. With the red and whites, Harroui played a total of 103 Eredivisie matches, in which he scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists, before moving to Sassuolo in the summer of 2021. With the Emilian club the midfielder played two seasons in Serie A, making 48 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals. Last season, 2023/24, Harroui played another season in the top Italian league with Frosinone, scoring four goals and three assists in 21 appearances.
