Women’s Serie A, Cappelletti confirmed as president: “Positive balance, forward with projects”

A year after his election Federica Cappelletti has been confirmed as president of the Professional Women’s Serie A Division. The FIGC announced this with a note on its official website in which the names of the four councilors of the Women’s Serie A Assembly are also communicated: Charles Mary Stigliano will be the vice president, while the other councilors are Stefano Braghin, Elena Turra And Ilaria Pasqui the latter as an independent.

“Best wishes for a good job to Federica Cappelletti for the renewal of her assignment, which testifies to the quality of the work done in the last year. – the comment of the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina – Her confirmation at the helm of the Division helps consolidate the projects undertaken together with the Federation for the development of the women’s movement: a synergic work aimed at both the base, and the increase in the number of registered players, and at the top, with the players of the Women’s Serie A clubs who are preparing to begin their third season with the status of professionals”.

“I thank the Assembly for the trust placed in me and in what has been my work in the first year of presidency – the first, emotional words of Cappelletti after the re-election -. And I thank the FIGC for having kept the commitments made towards the Division and the companies. The first season was definitely a positive one.: this is demonstrated by the success of the two major events organised by the Division, the Super Cup final and the Coppa Italia final, and the growth in the technical level of the Serie A and Primavera championships, the true reservoir of talent. At the same time, a reform process of the championships has been undertaken, which will bring Serie A to 12 teams from the 2025-26 season, and which will allow the movement, our clubs and our players to take a further step in development.“.
