Sala: “I really hope that Inter and Milan intend to redevelop San Siro”

Joseph Hallmayor of Milan, spoke on the sidelines of the City Council to return to talk about San Siroafter the presentation of the feasibility study by WeBuild for the redevelopment of the plant: “We have not scheduled a meeting because at this moment they have to reflect and I am giving them time to reflect”, we read on CalcioeFinanza.it.

What is the current situation?
“I know it’s in their interest, but I hope they make a decision and that we can then quickly move towards an administrative formulation of a possible agreement. It’s clear that we, as owners of the stadium, can only sell it through a tender, for example. There’s a lot of work to do, but upstream there’s the intention or otherwise of the teams to do these works on San Siro. I really hope so.”

The clubs are analyzing the feasibility study and evaluating the economic aspect, but above all trying to understand in detail the proposal of the construction company in order to arrive at an overall evaluation of the plan, which would include an increase in hospitality seats from the current 2,900 to around 13,000 (with the demolition of the first ring which will be rebuilt with a double row of sky boxes), with the closure of the third ring and consequent elimination of the scoreboard on the Via Piccolomini side to increase the capacity of the “popular” seats as well. In addition, there would also be a 9,000 square meter structure that should contain the Milan and Inter museum, a bar, a restaurant and the teams’ offices in front of gates 8, 9 and 10.
