Juve relies on DiGre: the goalkeeper wants to win in black and white

Yesterday was an intense day at Juventus as there were several medical visits. In fact, Vangsgaard arrived first at JMedical, having been taken by the Bianconeri club as part of the deal that brought Echegini to Paris Saint-Germain. A few minutes later, it was Michele di Gregorio’s turn. But the real star of the day was Alisha Lehmann who was welcomed by many Juventus fans and this is great news for Juventus Women.

Michele Di Gregorio is a Juventus player. Here are the numbers.
Late yesterday afternoon, Michele di Gregorio officially became a Juventus player. The black and white club also announced the financial details of the agreement with Monza for the goalkeeper: “Juventus Football Club SpA announces that it has reached an agreement with AC Monza for the temporary acquisition, until 30 June 2025, of the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Michele Di Gregorio for a fee of €4.5 million. The agreement also includes the obligation for Juventus to definitively acquire the player’s sporting performances if certain conditions occur during the 2024/2025 football season. The agreed fee for the possible definitive acquisition is equal to €13.5 million, payable in three financial years, in addition to ancillary costs of €0.8 million; this fee may be increased, during the duration of the sports performance contract with the footballer, by an amount not exceeding €2 million, upon reaching certain sporting objectives. Given the high probability of the occurrence of the above conditions, this operation, for accounting purposes, is classifiable as a definitive acquisition starting from today for a total amount of €18 million. It should also be noted that the final assessment regarding the accounting recognition of the operation will be carried out for the purposes of preparing the Half-Yearly Report at 31 December 2024, the approval of which is expected in February 2025”. Certainly significant figures for a goalkeeper who will have to live with an important legacy such as the one left by Szczesny.

Michele Di Gregorio, new Juventus goalkeeper, gave an interview to the club’s official platform. The former Monza goalkeeper also explained the goals he has set for himself during his career: “I have always set myself the goals of improving and working and not stopping. I must not think that I have arrived and not think that the journey is over, but on the contrary. I think it’s just the beginning, I really want to start and get involved. I said before, I associate Juventus with victory, so I want to win a lot”. Finally, the goalkeeper born in ’97 wanted to send a message to his new fans: “I want to greet all the Juventus fans, I’ll be waiting for you at the Allianz Stadium to fight together, I can’t wait”.
