France, Saliba: “We’re moving forward thanks to another clean sheet and because we’re truly a team”

France can celebrate: despite not scoring a goal from open play, they fly to the semi-finals, where they will meet Spain, beating Portugal on penalties. At the end of the match William Salibadefender of the national team led by Deschamps, spoke to the official UEFA channels to analyze the match: “It was not an easy game today against a very good team, one of the favorites to win the tournament. We managed to stay focused and defend well. Both teams had chances, but we kept a clean sheet and went to penalties.”

What was it like to win on penalties?
“There are so many emotions. The games are long and full of pressure, but we are happy to have faced them with a smile on our faces. We are still here and I hope we will be until next Sunday. We are a team that never gives up, even when they suffer. We are always together, we always think based on our teammate, and this is what makes this team so strong. We will continue like this. We will do everything possible to qualify for the final.”
