Interviewed by Asthe defender of Brazil and Juventus Gleison Bremer spoke about his season since Brazil’s training camp: “I feel very good and prepared for everything I’ve done in recent seasons. In Brazil nothing changes and I continue to train with a lot of availability and motivation to help the team in the best way if the team chooses me at any time. Juve? The topic of the penalty points was in the 2022/23 season and it left us very sad, but they are things we could not do anything about. In Serie A we started very well, but from January and until the end of the League we left some points along the way and we were not able to fight for the title until the end. But in my opinion the balance was positive. The good thing is that we managed to win the Italian Cup, a very traditional and important tournament. We deserved a joy because we worked very well”.
About Allegri: “It’s difficult, but that’s football. I wish him all the luck in the world in the sequence of his career. I’m sure he will continue to be successful wherever he goes because he is a very professional person and passionate about his work and the competition. I have learned a lot from him.”
He arrived as a star in his first season and now he has been named one of the best defenders of the year. How do you evaluate his evolution in these two years?
“Before arriving at the club I spent four years in Turin and I evolved a lot as a player and as a person. I have matured a lot. When I signed for Juventus I already had a good knowledge of the championship and also of the country. I had already managed to win the award for the best football players when I played in Turin and I continued to demonstrate my level with my work at the new club. Little by little we are helping Juventus to return to the forefront and fight for great things. I sincerely hope that next season will be a great joy for all of us, players and fans.”
At the end of the season, Allegri’s dismissal and the arrival of Thiago Motta were confirmed. How was it perceived in the locker room?
“All this happened at the end of the season, we had already left for vacation or joined our respective teams. I can’t tell you how the atmosphere in the dressing room remained because I don’t know. But, as I said before, I wish Allegri all the luck in the world. Thiago Motta will be welcomed by the entire dressing room. He is a professional who has done a great job and I think it was a great choice by the club. As for me, I will do my best to help him adapt as soon as possible.
