Caleb Okoli moves to the Premier League. Atalanta and Leicester City in the last few hours they have finalized the transfer to England of the defender born in 2001 who last season wore the Frosinone jersey. In this case, however, it is a permanent transfer, for a total operation of 15 million euros including bonuses.

After the agreement between all parties, Okoli is leaving for England where he will undergo medical tests – scheduled for tomorrow – preparatory to signing a 5-year contract. Okoli made 34 appearances in Serie A last season under the orders of mister Di Francesco. Born in Vicenza on 13 July 2001, he has fourteen games under his belt with Inter Under 21. Now he is ready to begin his new adventure under the orders of Steve Cooper, the manager who a handful of weeks ago replaced Enzo Maresca at the helm of the foxes.

Regarding the season he has just experienced in Frosinone, this is the thought expressed a few weeks ago by his agent Alessandro Barison: “I think it was excellent, more than positive. The expectations we had on a personal level were met, even if it’s disappointing how it went for Frosinone. Football is also made of these things and the boy is saddened by this relegation. In my opinion he has grown in mentality, he is a boy who works hard, takes on the game head on, faces every challenge like a true professional. I see him improved in aerial duels too”.
