Hamann attacks Bellingham: “We’ll see where he’s going to be in 2-3 years. I don’t like how he’s behaving”

Jude Bellingham He is one of the stars of the European Championship and one of the candidates for the Ballon d’Or. The English attacking midfielder dragged England to the quarter-finals with the goal – an overhead kick – that shattered Slovakia’s dreams, but he is causing controversy for his behavior: his latest “prank” was the provocative celebration right after the 1-1 goal against Calzona’s team, which could cost him dearly.

The person commenting on the incident was Dietmar Hamann. The former German midfielder attacked the 2003-born player: “Gareth Southgate should make the decision to leave Bellingham out as he did with Phil Foden in the past”, he declared to Picture. “If Bellingham were to be suspended, it could even be a blessing. He could help the team…” He continued: “I don’t like his behavior. Two and a half years ago, in Dortmund, he made a statement about the referee Felix Zwayer and escaped a fine, but in my opinion he should have been sanctioned.”

Hamann launched a final, harsh attack on the Real Madrid player: “Without his teammates he is nothing. Goals aside, he has not been seen in the first four games. I would wait and see where he will be in two or three years; needless to say he is a talented player, but he has shown certain behaviors that he should not have shown.”
