Another PSG player will participate in Paris 2024: no to the French, there will be Hakimi

Tarik Sektioui, coach of the Olympic team of Moroccotoday revealed the list of players called up for the Paris 2024 Games. There are 22 in total, with three overage players (i.e. players born before 1 January 2001): the RS Berkane goalkeeper, Munir El Kajoui, the Al Aïn striker, Soufiane Rahimi, and the Paris Saint-Germain right-back, Achraf Hakimi.

The club from the French capital has therefore given its approval to release the former Inter full-back – as had already happened with Arnau Tenas, called up by Spain – even if it was not obliged to do so, given that the Olympics are not included in the FIFA calendar. An authorization that it did not give to the hosts coached by Thierry Henry, who would have liked to have Bradley Barcola and Warren Zaire-Emery at his disposal. Nothing to be done also for Brahim Diaz, “blocked” by Real Madrid as has already happened with Kylian Mbappé

Morocco will face Argentina and Ukraine in Saint-Etienne on July 24 and 27 respectively, and Iraq on July 30 in Nice.
