Türkiye, Guler believes: “Holland is a tough opponent but we want to reach the semi-finals”

He didn’t score, but he was once again decisive with the assist for Demiral’s second goal. The star of Arda Guler continues to shine at EURO 2024: “Merih scored two beautiful goals, the second goal came thanks to a great header. Taking corners aiming at his head is easy…”, the Real Madrid player told UEFA microphones after the 2-1 victory against Austria and the qualification of Vincenzo Montella’s team to the quarter-finals.

The first assist is never forgotten: “I am very happy to have provided my first assist, after scoring my first goal in the tournament. But the most important thing is the team’s victory: I am very happy to have contributed. The quarter-finals? I am very excited to play in Berlin in front of our fans. Holland will be a difficult opponent to face but we believe in it and we want to go through to the next round”.
