But what is behind that smile from the Inter goalkeeper? “There is happiness and the awareness of having played a great match against a great opponent. I only have positive thoughts in my head: I am happy with how we entered the match and how we always stayed there”, replies the former Bayern player.
Italy, however, did its part.
“I didn’t see a weak Italy, I saw a Switzerland that performed great.”
The match was won in all respects. Can you point to one?
“We made life difficult for Italy by playing very aggressively, we were good at recovering the ball and at speed of execution. We played with a lot of quality.”
