Marotta: “Inter already competitive with Zielinski and Taremi. Inzaghi’s renewal? Before the championship”

Great evening in Rimini with the Grand Gala for the official opening of the 2024/2025 transfer market. Among the protagonists, also the new president of Inter, Beppe Marottawho spoke thus to the microphones of Sky Sports: “Juventus? You always have to include them in the list of contenders. Has anything changed for me with the appointment as president? It makes me even more responsible, but the goal is always to do very well for Inter”.

What market should we expect for Inter? “Nothing special. We acted quickly thanks also to the work of Ausilio and Baccin. As you know, we have signed contracts with Zielinski and Taremi, the team is already competitive. Now we need to define the incoming goalkeeper (Martinez, ed.), then the team is ready to go. Obviously net if something happens, but I would say no”.

In the past, a big club’s sale was almost mandatory: has anything changed with Oaktree? “Survival is also achieved by taking care of budgetary aspects, we do not have needs. When I speak of unpredictability I also mean incoming, not just outgoing”.

Will there be a sacrifice among the many young Nerazzurri players? “For Inter, the youth sector is the jewel in the crown, we will evaluate each operation, now it is a bit premature. Even in this area the voice of the interested parties becomes important”.

Simone Inzaghi’s contract. “There is an excellent relationship, there is a negotiation underway with the utmost respect for the parties, a discussion that will end with everyone’s happiness. Before the start of the championship? Definitely yes.”
