Willy SagnolGeorgia’s coach, comments on the elimination from the European Championships, happy with what his team did, but not so much with the referee’s performance: “There was offside. Yes, it’s clear. The VAR is a great tool, but you don’t know how to use it. I don’t understand why offside wasn’t called for the equaliser, when something similar had already happened in this European Championship. They disallowed a goal for something very similar”, complains the coach. “I don’t like what happened. The VAR is not used well and we all pay for it.
The players don’t know what to do because different things are called in every game. We will do it ourselves. It’s not even the time to talk about my future. Now is the time to think about what we have done and analyze everything. We are very happy with what the team has done and very proud of the players. It’s the end of the journey, but I hope the next one we take will be very exciting. In a few days we will realize what we have done.”
